Long gone are the days of overly sweet, cheap Rosé, favoured historically by those who didn’t like wine, it’s now a popular choice with our members and consumers alike because of the class and fun it brings to our line-up. The delicious, crisp berry notes found on our sparkling 100% Pinot grape blend lend it to many a food and occasion.
Our Rosé, like all of our traditional method sparkling wines, is a brut, meaning it is a dry wine. However, with notes of redcurrant and strawberry, the brain can be fooled into thinking it is sweeter than some of our other blends, whilst remaining a wine with wonderful crisp and refreshing acidity - delicate on the palate and also in appearance, with just a hint of pink.
The Squerryes 2020 Rosé is a real crowd pleaser, a great go between a fresh, clean white and a more complex red - a joy to drink! Mentioning joy, as we must here at Squerryes, the Rosé is the epitome of everything we strive to achieve. It is a drink to be enjoyed with family, for celebrations, on Friday nights, at parties, small gatherings with good friends or while making new ones, with food or without.
One of the reasons we and our supporters love our Rosé most in summer is because of the food pairings it sings with. Think BBQs, picnics, strawberries and cream (just look at the tasting notes of the wine itself) and creamy cheeses. That’s a menu written for you already!
So with summer in full swing and thoughts of al fresco dining, why not enjoy a bottle of our elegant, pretty and refreshing 2020 Rosé? You can buy it online or from The Cellar Door, enjoy it on the terrace at The Winery Restaurant or in The Garden Café with a sharing platter.
In our view, you can’t fail to enjoy it served overlooking our Rosé vineyard this summer, watching the 2023 vintage grow. If you’d like to compare it to our vintage Brut, why not book onto a tour and tasting or call into The Estate Deli and try a tasting flight? You’ll also get to taste our signature Blanc de Blanc wine too.
