It’s an exciting time to be working in English wine, especially here at Squerryes. Since planting our first vines in 2006, we’ve been a growing family business, with roots to the land going back 7 generations. We pride ourselves on being a boutique English wine brand, producing vintage sparkling wine from fruit grown on our 2,500 acre estate, located high on the North Downs at the gateway to the Garden of England.
Our family motto, Licet Esse Beatis, is at the heart of all we do across the estate, to enjoy life’s simple pleasures with friends and family, through delicious food and wine. We also extend this philosophy to working with us. Our aim is to ensure you have a joyful, wonderful time working with us as much as we value having you as part of our team.

We released our first vintage in 2014, in 2018 we opened our Winery consisting of a tasting room and terrace just outside Westerham, creating a special place for food and wine-led experiences for people to enjoy quality time with friends and family.
We now have a Cellar Door, Deli, AA Rosette Restaurant and run popular tours and tastings throughout the year.
We are seeking people to join our team of ambassadors who have a passion for wine and an enthusiasm for the English wine category. An associated qualification is preferable, but not essential. A love for supporting local is also key, with a personal connection either through being a member, living close by or already being a customer of Squerryes. You must be able to talk to new customers, members, and work closely with Squerryes staff so an enjoyment of speaking to others and interacting with them is crucial to the role.
We’re looking to build a team of ambassadors, each with their own distinct personality and strengths. Together their individual strengths complement one another, creating a fantastic team.
As we’re looking to recruit a few people, and being zero hours, there is flexibility to this role, some people may only want to commit to working a couple of half days a month, others a couple of days a fortnight. There is no rigid commitment or minimum number of days we need from you.
There will be a schedule of events and experiences, with an emphasis in 2024 on off-site events and weekends and members events, and the opportunity to host tours and tastings.
Rotas and work will be shared with you ahead of time which will include:
The frequency of our experiences and events will be dependent on the time of year, with April to August and October to December being particularly busy periods. There will be experiences and events mainly at weekends, some in the evening, others in the day. We also have some during the week, mostly during the day.
These are some examples:
On starting your role we will give you a full brand immersion at Squerryes to give you the confidence to fulfill this role as well as give you time with Squerryes stakeholders that will help grow your knowledge of the brand and business. Annually we will have a training day before the season starts to run through new vintages, give business updates and answer any questions you may have.
